Every so often I get the urge to share things that I probably shouldn’t. Like most career sourcers I save my searches, I organize them and I find ways to better use my time online. I also collect searches from others that I work with on projects.
Now I can’t give proper credit to everyone here because I honestly cannot tell you were they have come from other than that they are variations of my own personal searches and others. Regardless, I wanted to share this toolbar with the community and see what you all think.

Over the last few months there has been an excessive amount of chats taking place on Twitter. Cool, yes. Effective, maybe. Hard to follow along, yes. We posted in the past about some nice tools you can use to follow 
some chats like TalentNet and JobHuntChat, but this is a new breed. A more private setting that you can participate or host some pretty meaningful chats. Check out Mike Vandervort’s new recommendation.

Not only is it possible to use YouTube to get a job, but it’s becoming a more popular option, especially for the current crop of would-be-employees that grew up with web video.
For the first time this year, IT support roles have taken over from IT manager jobs as the highest number represented on The IT Job Board (www.theitjobboard.co.uk). That’s the finding from the company’s latest Skills in Demand report (September 2010).
If you’re looking for a job, it’s not exactly news that the time between an interview — even one that goes swimmingly — and an offer seems like an eternity these days. “After six weeks or so of hearing nothing, most finalists for a given position will just assume the company must have hired someone else,” observes Tim Schoonover, chairman of Nashville-based talent management firm OI Partners.
Legal businesses and companies that seek legal employees would certainly save time and cost whenever they would employ legal recruiters. Besides the fact, that legal recruiters are usually good in assessing the skill and personality of legal prospects, there is no need for the law firms and companies to engage their respective human resource department to invest time acquiring and interviewing the prospective staff who would fill up the vacant job.
The global recession has led to a dramatic decrease in the number of executive search firms. Coupled with this smaller number of search firms to work with and the incredible growth of online searches in general, many more candidates now rely solely on online executive job search services.
