SmartRecruiters launched its Q2 2023 release, which includes new capabilities aimed at strengthening the platform’s CRM and onboarding capabilities while allowing more workflow customization and additional integration capabilities.

The release includes more than 20 product updates that impact some the company’s most popular products. These include SmartCRM, SmartMessage and SmartOnboard, in addition to the company’s core hiring OS. The additions provide talent acquisition teams with expanded reporting on nurture campaigns, an improved texting experience and more flexible onboarding controls, the company said.

Rachel Orston, SmartRecruiters’ chief customer officer, said relied heavily on customer feedback as it compiled the release.

The release’s key features include:

  • Flexible Onboarding Controls allow users to tailor their onboarding processes by collecting data securely at the stage where it’s needed. Onboarding can be started at the offer or hire stage to provide a more seamless transition for new hires.
  • Smart CRM Consent Management streamlines an employer’s compliant consent management processes by adding filtering capabilities at both the database and campaign levels, allowing for more efficient management and tracking of consent status.
  • Localized Screening Questions make sure that every candidate sees appropriate screening questions, tailored to the specific location of a job ad. SmarrRecruiters said collecting more relevant and compliant information helps companies make more effective data-driven hiring decisions.

‘No Boundaries’

In May, the company launched a new messaging campaign, “Hiring Without Boundaries,” designed to help TA teams “break free from the limitations of legacy technology.”

Driven by the no-boundaries concept, the company introduced a “boundless user experience for hiring teams,” which included integrations with Slack and Microsoft Teams. The initiative aimed to help hiring teams take advantage of SmartRecruiters’ capabilities from within apps used during the normal course of work, said Jim Milton, SmartRecruiters’ senior vice president of strategy.

At the time, CEO Michael DeSimone said the hiring without boundaries concept was “the future of talent acquisition.”
