Accountants International Makes Inavero’s 2011 Best of Staffing™ »

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)-Accountants International announced on September 26, 2011 that they have been named to Inavero’s 2011 Best of Staffing™ Talent list. Best of Staffing, presented in partnership with CareerBuilder, is the nation’s only satisfaction award that recognizes staffing and recruiting firms who provide an exceptional experience for the talent they help find jobs. Fewer than 1 percent of North American staffing firms have been named to the 2011 Best of Staffing Talent List.

“Less than 1 percent of staffing firms in the US and Canada have been named to the Best of Staffing List for Talent Satisfaction. Being in the 90th percentile of all Best of Staffing award winners exemplifies our commitment to building relationships and giving top-notch, quality service to our candidates,” Accountants International President, Steve McMahan said. “We are proud and honored to be recognized for our efforts in this way.”

Staffing firms competing to make the Best of Staffing list underwent a rigorous survey process followed by careful analysis of responses to determine satisfaction levels. Accountants International received satisfaction ratings of 9 or 10 out of 10 from 70.2 percent of their talent, significantly higher than the industry’s average of 50 percent. Best of Staffing participants secured a place on the list by earning an average Net Promoter Score® that was nearly double the national staffing industry benchmark for talent who had been placed in a job.

According to recent Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data, staffing firms have created more new jobs since the end of the ‘Great Recession’ than any other industry, accounting for 91 percent of the total job growth. “There is still so much work to be done,” said Eric Gregg, Inavero’s Founder and CEO. “The most recent BLS report shows 14 million unemployed, nearly half whom have been out of work for six months or more. Job seekers are using staffing and recruiting firms now more than ever before, and it’s our hope the Best of Staffing List will help guide them to the firms who have truly created an exceptional experience for the talent they are helping put back to work.”

eJobMate.com Releases Job Wizard Feature – Optimizes Job Postings To Gain Maximum Exposure and Results »

Howell, MI (PRWEB) October 27, 2011 eJobMate.com is proud to announce the all-new Job Wizard, a built-in step-by-step tutorial to help recruiters optimize their job posting’s marketing and exposure value.

“Typically job boards have taught us to focus on detailed job descriptions, which actually were not common pre-Internet”, says eJobMate President, Nicholas Gronow. “Our goal with eJobMate’s Job Wizard, was to go back to hiring basics and help recruiters see the value of generating interest through marketing the position, rather than pre-qualifying every candidate before they even apply”.

eJobMate’s Job Wizard starts by breaking down the job description into 3 crucial parts, which include a brief summary of the job itself, information on the hiring organization’s company culture, and specific personality traits needed to perform the job well. By breaking the description down, and focusing on generating interest rather than a list of requirements, eJobMate’s Job Wizard helps recruiters to attract the right kind of applicants; those that are motivated and passionate about working for the company.

Contingent and Permanent IT Headcount Expected to Increase in Q4, Finds TEKsystems

Contingent and Permanent IT Headcount Expected to Increase in Q4, Finds TEKsystems »

HANOVER, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TEKsystems®, a leading provider of IT staffing solutions, human capital management expertise and IT services, today announced findings from its quarterly IT Executive Outlook survey, conducted in partnership with the Inavero Institute. Fifty-four percent of IT leaders expect to maintain current headcount and 36% expect to increase contingent and permanent IT headcount in the next three months. Of those IT leaders expecting to increase contingent and permanent headcount, 15% plan to grow by more than 5%.

“Many IT leaders rely more heavily on the contingent hiring model because it simplifies workforce planning as projects have a finite start and end date. An organization can augment its teams appropriately without assuming the fixed costs associated with permanent hires,” says TEKsystems Market Research Analyst, Jason Hayman.

IT leaders anticipate increases in Q4 spending for infrastructure services (43%) and applications services (39%), with 20% of respondents indicating infrastructure spending will grow by at least 5%. “Organizations are investing in infrastructure and application-based initiatives like cloud computing, Business Intelligence (BI), social media and mobility. These initiatives drive spending because they not only promise to lower costs and boost efficiency; they also offer potential for new products, services and customer markets.” states Hayman.

Over the first three quarters of 2011, Enterprise Architects, Cloud Architects, BI Specialists and Security Specialists were consistently ranked as the most difficult roles to fill within IT organizations. This trend continues into Q4. Sixty-five percent of IT leaders report difficulty in finding Enterprise Architects, 60% in finding Cloud Architects, and 51% in finding BI and Security Specialists.

SaaShr.com Expands Marketplace with Recruitment Module for HR Application »

Branchburg, NJ (PRWEB) October 27, 2011 SaaShr.com (http://www.SaaShr.com), a leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) based Workforce Management Solutions with a major focus in Human Resources (HR), Payroll, and Time and Labor Management (TLM), announced today the release of its recruitment module as part of its Ancillary Product and Service Marketplace for licensees and users of the company’s HR application. Complementary to the applicant tracking component in the HR application, the recruitment module offers a powerful solution to help address recruiting challenges faced by small to mid-sized businesses.

“Many companies in the small to mid-sized business space are struggling to hire qualified job candidates in a simple, efficient, and consistent manner due to a shortage of recruiting or HR-related resources,” stated Chad Brenneman, President of the HR and Payroll Division at SaaShr.com. A 2010 survey conducted by Manpower Group, an employment services company, concluded that the percentage of employers who have had difficulties finding qualified candidates had increased by almost half since 2006. Brenneman continued, “As the economy begins to rebound, the number of companies in this segment are expected to increase hiring efforts, thus the demand for solutions to resolve recruitment issues is expected to rise as well.”

According to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are 3.2 million unfilled job positions in the United States, however 9.1 percent of the population is currently unemployed. “The recruitment module can help bridge the gap between the unemployment numbers and the number of available positions by streamlining hiring processes for those companies that are currently hiring and in need of a solution,” Brenneman added.

With the SaaShr.com recruitment module, applicants can upload a resume or include previous work experience, quantify their level of proficiency with a multitude of skills, list references, and include compensation requirements. Administrators, recruiters, and hiring managers can easily view that applicant’s information through a summarized view. This information is then compared with the criteria required for the position in order to zero-in on the best job applicants.

eHire Survey says Retail Industry Feeling Bullish about Hiring in 2012

eHire Survey says Retail Industry Feeling Bullish about Hiring in 2012 »

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 27, 2011 The recession has hit the retail industry hard over the last couple of years. Many retail businesses are still struggling in 2011 with Blockbuster and Borders being examples of major chains that have closed their doors. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Retail Salesperson is the largest occupation in the United States as of May 2010 making up 3.3% of total U.S. employment with over 4 million workers. The health of the retail industry is vital to the U.S. economy. Knowing this, eHire sought to gain more information in order to better understand the current state of the retail industry as it heads into 2012.

eHire asked retail hiring managers and executives if their organization had seen headcount growth in 2011 versus 2010 with only 23% having not seen improvement. Over 50% of employers saw between 5% and 14% growth in headcount. Not surprising, 50% of that growth was Retail Personnel in the store. eHire was also pleased to see Executive and Information Technology roles rank second and third for highest headcount growth. As eHire has previously highlighted, “the unemployment rate in 2010 for all engineers was [only] 4.5 percent…for software engineers it was 4.6 percent.”

The retail industry is doing better than most industries with a problem many employers experience; recruiting and retaining talent. Only 35% of hiring managers that responded to the survey reported experiencing this difficulty. When they did experience problems, the majority of it was with Retail Personnel and Merchandising.

Technisource Survey: IT Worker Confidence Dips, Yet More Companies Hiring IT Professionals »

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 25, 2011 — /PRNewswire/ — The IT Employee Confidence Index, a measure of overall confidence among U.S. technology workers, showed a decline from 56.2 to 47.3 in the third quarter of 2011, according to a recent survey commissioned by Technisource®. Surprisingly, the survey of 3,813 U.S. adults among which 257 are employed in information technology, marks the lowest confidence level amongst IT professionals in more than two years, despite Technisource seeing strong growth in new technology jobs available and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting that the industry added 115,000 jobs through June 2011.

While IT professionals’ overall confidence in the economy and availability of new jobs weakened, personal confidence in their own abilities remained unchanged — highlighted by little to no statistical difference this quarter in confidence to secure a new job or their confidence level in keeping their current job.

Results from the Q3 IT Employment Report:

A paltry 13 percent of IT professionals still believe the economy is getting stronger, down 16 percentage points from Q2 2011.
More than half (56 percent) of those surveyed now believe that there are fewer IT jobs available, with only 11 percent being confident that more jobs exist.
Forty percent of respondents are confident in their ability to find a new job, down only four percentage points from the previous quarter. Likewise, only a two percentage point difference exists from Q2 to Q3 2011 in job security confidence.
Sixty-one percent of IT workers remain confident in the future of their current employer, down slightly from 70 percent last quarter.
Despite the lowered confidence in the overall economy, a full 32 percent of IT professionals are still likely to look for new jobs while in their current position.

MedReps.com Names the Best Places to Work in Healthcare Sales

MedReps.com Names the Best Places to Work in Healthcare Sales »

Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) October 24, 2011 A recent Medreps.com survey asked job seekers which company they would most like to work for, and respondents named Johnson & Johnson, Stryker, and Medtronic as their employers of choice. Multiple job seekers cited these companies as ideal employers, and current employees of Johnson & Johnson, Stryker, and Medtronic confirmed that they are, indeed, great places to work. When asked to explain why Johnson & Johnson should be considered for the top award, one happy employee cited the following reasons: “Best benefits around, brand recognition, competitive salary and commission, amazing training, most respected workforce, and very flexible.”

Brand recognition, stability, and comprehensive benefit plans were just some of the reasons the top companies are attractive to MedReps.com members, but other, broader factors influenced the results as well – starting with the candidate’s preference for the type of products they want to sell. Professionals seeking positions as medical device reps wouldn’t nominate pharmaceutical companies as their ideal place to work, so in this regard, medical device companies had the edge in the MedReps.com survey. Over two-thirds of respondents said they are seeking jobs with medical device companies.

When broken down by the top three product categories, Johnson & Johnson was the preferred employer for those candidates pursuing medical device sales jobs, as well as those seeking jobs in pharma. Allergan was the preferred employer for those seeking jobs with biotech companies.

“We were pleased to confirm that the top companies are already posting their jobs with us,” says Rosemarie Vermeersch, General Manager of MedReps.com. “And in our ongoing effort to provide value to our members, we will be contacting the nominated companies that are not currently advertising with us and inviting them to do so. We feel strongly that those companies will benefit from posting their opportunities for our qualified candidate members.”

The Best Places to Work in Healthcare Sales survey is the first of its kind for MedReps.com, but the company plans on making it an annual event. Read the full “Best Places to Work in Healthcare Sales” report on MedReps.com.
