IT Employment Jobs Up Almost 75,000 in 2010 »

According to a monthly index of IT jobs developed and published by TechServe Alliance, a collaboration of IT services firms, clients, consultants and suppliers, the number of IT jobs grew by 5,600 in August to 3,886,200. The number of IT jobs in August 2010 was 2.0 percent higher year-over-year, compared to an only 0.3 percent overall private-sector job growth from a year earlier. Year to date, IT employment has grown by 73,900 jobs since the number of IT jobs began to recover in January.
