Recruiting with LinkedIn can get tedious, especially if you are only searching with keywords. Your results become common and you lose your competitive edge on your competition. Continuing the series on Recruiting with LinkedIn, here is another great way to uncover some hidden leads.

Building a network the proper way takes time. It’s not as simple as uploading a csv of 400 names and connecting. Well, maybe it can be, but to see any significant outcomes you need to genuinely connect and work with your connections. Here’s Bill Boorman’s take on a few ideas

LinkedIn is not just a place to smack up a profile anymore. It’s much more than that. It’s your resume and your point of reference for most employers you will come in contact with. Most recruiters lean on LinkedIn like it’s the only thing left in the world. So how can you maximize your profiles potential?

LinkedIn is getting quirky with their search capability but here is a nice little trick that was shared with me from @kdaprile at #TRUUSA this past week in Madison. With the ability to now submit news into your LinkedIn feed you have the opportunity to share your companies news, information and your opening in mass and in a non spammy way.

Take full advantage of your LinkedIn network. Organize, Tag and recruit via company, industry, location title and more. It’s simple and easy to execute. You are missing great talent you are already connected with. Take control of your Network.

Advanced searching with LinkedIn’s UI has gotten better. The features are mostly the same, but the layout has made life a lot easier. This coupled with a few added deatires have made sourcing with LinkedIn easier and more effective for recruiters that may not be overly advanced with search.

With the addition of LinkedIn prfoile organizer, LinkedIn is starting to make clear strides in becoming the mainstream vehicle for resume sourcing. Of course there are multiple versions of LinkedIn, both paid and non-paid and opinions on both, but take a look at a at least one option I’m startingn to like.

LinkedIn is constantly changing and it’s our job to help bring that to you. Readjusting your profile to better fit your needs seems like something that should’ve been integrated 6 years ago, but the truth is it wasn’t. It is now and this may have an effect of the Jobseeker as well as the recruiter

Constant changes to the UI within LinkedIn seem to cause confusion amongst users. One such option that is still available but has moved is: Bulk accepting initiations. Though this feature was moved a long while back, it was important to share this with readers as not everyone is aware of this feature.
