PredictiveHire launched an automated interview solution designed to give HR teams much-needed flexibility in a highly competitive candidate market. The company said its solution has already helped customers reduce time-to-hire to under 24 hours.

The integrated offering incorporates a new video tool, Videointerview, and an existing smart interviewer, Phai.

Videointerview is a simple video interview tool that enables hiring managers to conduct hundreds of interviews without having to schedule. Phai, on the other hand, is a smart interviewer that uses simple text to align candidates with ideal job roles by creating a weighted score for each user. It  uses natural language processing to turn simple text conversations into talent intelligence, enabling organizations to identify the right talent, accelerate diversity outcomes and improve the candidate experience.

PredictiveHire said the integrated offering means that companies can now adopt an automated mobile-first hiring process that quickly delivers high quality talent. CEO Barb Hyman said the company built the product so that hiring managers would no longer have to sacrifice the quality of candidates for speed.

“In a world where there is a massive shortage of talent, even for recruiters themselves, businesses need to find a less taxing way to assess talent,” Hyman said. “We believe that the introduction of VideoInterview makes us the only truly automated hiring solution that  addresses fairness, fit and speed while genuinely engaging candidates.”

Eliminating Bias, Gaining Feedback

PredictiveHire said Videointerview is different from similar tools since it doesn’t use artificial intelligence to screen video interviews. Once video and voices are introduced to a video interview process, bias is almost impossible to eliminate, the company noted.

VideoInterview allows candidates to easily record video responses with their mobile devices. It delivers a familiar and candidate-centric hiring experience that provides rapid, personalized feedback.

According to PredictiveHire, 86% of candidates that underwent a job interview on its platform said the experience made them more likely to recommend an organization as an employer of choice.

PredictiveHire recently introduced InterviewBERT, an algorithm that uses Google’s model for NLP to understand the contextual meaning of words in written job interviews.
