Once in a while it is my turn to write a Monday Morning Inspiration post for our faithful RecruitingDaily readers.  And it is meant to get the juices flowing, the fire burning, the heart rate pumping, for another week of recruiting.  These posts are from the heart.  Simply meant to elicit an emotion and to get you going.  We all have the need for a little kick in the pants now and again.  And sometimes in life we get kicked so hard that we need to make a move that will, well, inspire ourselves.

Last week our nephew passed away.  Michael was 29 years old and had seen a lot in his life.  He was built like an athlete, with strong good looks and big warm smile.  His great personality was loved, and liked, by many.  He was quick to help others and worked hard at the most important job of his life, being a new dad.  Mike was the father of 2 year old Jordan and still a newlywed as far as I am concerned.  But last week he was suddenly, in his sleep, gone.  And it has rattled our entire family.

Thoughts full of “why?” mixed with anger, frustration, and sadness still lingering as I sit to write this post and for some reason this song came to mind.  Once I played it I knew I had to share it with you all.  To fire you up.  To get you going.  To remind you that you have today to live, and that is reason enough to kick some ass and take some names.  I wish success to you all, even when facing the cruel hard sun.  Sometimes slowing down, all the way down, is the best way to get the most done.

“If you want something in life, reach out and grab it” – Jon Krakauer (Into the Wild)

“I read somewhere… how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong, but to feel strong… to measure yourself at least once.” — Jon Krakauer (Into the Wild)

INTO THE WILD is based on a true story and the bestselling book by Jon Krakauer. After graduating from Emory University in 1992, top student and athlete Christopher McCandless (Hirsch) abandons his possessions, gave his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters that shape his life.
