Madden — who has more than 20 years of experience in senior-level executive recruitment — joined B. E. Smith in late 2010. B. E. Over the past year, the number of C-suite searches conducted by the firm has increased by nearly 67 percent, according to Doug Smith, president and chief executive officer, B. E. Smith. During this period, 70 percent of the clients who partnered with B. E. Smith for C-suite recruitment successfully hired a senior healthcare executive from the first candidate panel.

Prior to joining B. E. Smith, Madden served as senior vice president at an executive search firm in Kansas City, Mo. Prior to this, Madden established and led a physician and physician practice management division in a consulting company.
