So, have you ever thought you saw some information last year on a website but come to find that you just can’t locate the info. This is probably because it does not exist anymore – the developer took it down or the site was changed. Ah ha…but this is not true.  What if I told you that I’ve built a time machine and I can get you back to the beginning of time? Or at least 1996?

Ok, so I did not build a time machien, but I use it and I want ot share it with everyone! It’s the Way Back Machine or the Waaaaaaay Back Machine. Here it is:

Wayback Machine

http://www.archive.org/web/web.php

The Way Back Machine is a great thing for recruiters to know about especially, because people many times remove their contact information. For example, say there is a conference and the website lists the attendees of the people going. This is a great way to source potential candidates in a specific industry. They often remove that sort of thing because it’s temporary and it contains personal information. Many times this sort of information is lost… but now that you have the way back machine, you can find it again. Happy hunting!
