U.S. employers said job openings in July stood at a seasonally adjusted 8.8 million, a decline of 338,000 from June. Although that was the lowest level since March 2021, The Wall Street Journal noted it was still well above pre-pandemic levels and the 5.8 million unemployed people in July.

Unemployed American workers are experiencing a massive case of job-hunt burnout, according to research from staffing firm Insight Global. More than half of those surveyed, 55% – 66% for Gen Z – said they’re completely burned out from undergoing a lengthy job search process. Meanwhile, recently unemployed full-time workers say they’ve received only four responses to an average of 30 submitted applications.

According to Technavio, the growth is attributed to the increasing adoption of cloud-based applicant-tracking systems, and the digital transformation of HR departments within organizations. However, the market is experiencing challenges, including the ability to assess the long-term quality of applicants and the limited breadth of their search scope due to key word searches, the company said.

RChilli launched RCR, or RChilli Candidate Recharge, which the company positions as a new way of reprocessing candidate data in an ATS. RCR is intended to address challenges with data migration including inconsistencies and inaccuracies in candidate information. RCR updates candidate data including contact details, employment history, job titles, educational background, and current employer.
