The legal recruiting business is not immune from Computer Fraud and Abuse Act lawsuits. Sharon Mahn, the former Managing Director of the legal headhunting firm Major Lindsey & Africa’s (“MLA”) Partner Practice Group, was fired after MLA discovered that she had allegedly emailed to a competing legal headhunter MLA’s computer data about its client attorneys who were seeking positions in new law firms.
