How hard are you working toward your recruiting goals? How focused are you on your business, its growth, and the value of your work with your customers? Have you done something today, however small, that will move you toward achieving those goals? As a recruiter we work toward the goals of our clients and candidates everyday. That is our life blood and where most of our time should be. But what about you? Your success can breed other successes.
Think of this scenario:
You are in your office and can see in a room near it and through a small window $100,000 dollars. It is your money. Your to have free and clear. You have never had this much money but need to do only one thing to get it, get in the room. Now this room has no doors, regular walls, and the window can not be broken, or the deal is off. What would you do? How hard would you work to get in there? Would you smash the walls? Take them apart one by one? Would you try something that you have never done before? I would work my way through the wall board until I made my way in. If I had to go through the ceiling, floor, get a chainsaw, whatever, I would find a way to get in. The point is too simple. If you don’t do something, take some action, as often as you can to achieve your goals in recruiting, business, sports, or life…you are not getting in the room with your goals and dreams.
What is your goal and dream? What small steps do you need to take to get started? What action are you going to take? Now move!
