Gem closed $100 million in Series C funding, providing the company with a $1.2 billion valuation, according to media reports. The round was led by ICONIQ and included existing investors Greylock and Accel, as well as new investors Sapphire Ventures and Meritech Capital. The round brings Gem’s total funding to $148 million. Founded in 2017, the company has more than 800 customers and tripled its revenue in the last year.

JobAdder released a new integration with LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect designed to improve hiring workflows, time to hire and candidate experience. The integration lets JobAdder users connect with LinkedIn Recruiter to access candidate information when it’s needed, without switching platforms. Recruiters can also find candidates quickly, know instantly which candidates from LinkedIn are already in their JobAdder account, see all InMail messages from both platforms in one place and cross-reference data from both sources.

Sense launched its platform’s AI Chatbot. The chatbot offers a seamless integration that sources and screens more candidates faster while still providing personalized candidate-focused experiences. As part of the Sense suite, the chatbot pairs conversational AI with automated communication and engagement workflows and two-way texts.

Fourth, a provider of workforce and inventory solutions for the restaurant, hospitality and retail industries, acquired Snagajob’s purpose-built ATS and PeopleMatter and Hiring Manager, onboarding solutions for hourly employees.

Live Recruit launched a new version of its virtual hiring event platform. The latest update allows users to create custom registration pages, offer a simpler sign-up process and scheduling options, access real-time analytics and all data captured to an Excel spreadsheet or ATS

CareerBuilder is reintroducing itself with a brand identity, and launching a TV, radio and digital campaign titled “Let’s Job It Up.” The campaign encourages job seekers to “regain control of their employment future,” the company said, and positions CareerBuilder as “ a relatable and reliable platform for the everyday job seeker.”
