Only 46% of college students are confident they’ll find a job upon graduation, while 61% are confident they’re graduating with the skills they need for a career, according to the early talent career site Symplicity. The survey found 59% of students worried they didn’t have the right qualifications for the types of jobs they wanted. Too many unrealistic job requirements would discourage 65% of students from applying. That was particularly true for women: 63% of women and 52% of men were concerned about their qualifications.

VidCruiter partnered and integrated with Oracle’s new Oracle Recruiting Cloud. The company said the partnership enhances ORC by providing video interviewing, skills testing, interview scheduling, automated reference checking and SMS communications within the platform, allowing users to create personalized and mobile experiences for individual candidates.

Sense announced an integration with SmartRecruiters to provide source-to-hire capabilities. The integration will allow Sense to leverage SmartRecruiters’ hiring technology. The companies say their partnership will increase efficiency, streamline operations and grow revenue while maintaining personalized communications with candidates.

The developer-focused job board Arc launched HireAI, an AI-powered solution intended to simplify the hiring process. HireAI matches companies and candidates from its global developer network. It also takes on tasks such as candidate search, resume screening and manual outreach. Hire AI uses Open AI’s ChatGPT-4 to identify matching candidates from Arc’s pool of some 250,000 developers worldwide.

Hourly worker job platform Instawork raised $60 million in a Series D funding round led by TCV, with participation from new investors 9Yards Capital and Larry Fitzgerald Jr.  The investment brings total investment in the company to $160 million, and will allow Instawork to accelerate investment in its AI-powered mobile app and platform, which connects more than 4 million skilled workers with employers.

GoToro relaunched itself as a unified platform, combining the expertise of social media manager Fusion RL, Find a Trucker Job, Find A Nursing Job and programmatic advertising provider Talenize. The company said its platform – called Leading Edge Optimization, or LEO – optimizes job postings across a network of job sites and online platforms.

Paycor released a new AI-generated job descriptions tool powered by Microsoft Azure’s OpenAI Service. Used with Paycor Smart Sourcing, the feature helps optimize talent acquisition by sourcing high-quality and diverse candidates, the company said.
