The right point of view and air traffic control.

We have another podcast for you today in our series from HRTech 2019. If you haven’t been following along, RecruitingDaily teamed up with Talemetry to find out what some of the top people in the industry have to say about the future of talent acquisition and hiring in the year 2025. We’re asking everyone the same question:

What skills will you be hiring for in 5 years?

In our last episode, we discussed emotional intelligence with JD Cummings. He and William also get into a discussion of the overwhelming number of vendors and tools available today, and how to choose what’s best for his company. Check it out!

In our episode today, we are speaking with Treon Kranz, the Strategic Account Manager at iCIMS, and Jessica Miller-Merrell, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Workology.  Tune in for the whole discussion, but we learned that Treon believes instead of hiring for particular skills, it will become more about finding people who have the right point of view and buy-in.

Jessica’s answer is that with the increase of technology use, someone will need to handle all this incoming data from different directions, and also be able to make sense of it. HR positions are going to morph into a role like a highway or air traffic controller.

The discussion continues with their questions back to William, including what has surprised him this year at HR Tech, his thoughts on integration and why it hasn’t gotten easier with time, and more!

Let us know what you think!
