Jobvite Offers Certifications on Recruiting Skills, Operations

Jobvite launched an online learning center meant to help talent acquisition professionals update their recruiting skills. Called Jobvite Academy, the effort aims to help recruiting teams upskill and expand their professional knowledge.

Traditionally, recruiters have had to learn on the job or on their own, Jobvite said. The academy provides a more structured approach, offering self-guided certification programs that help TA professionals develop action plans that are based on best practices. Vendor-agnostic training covers recruiting skills, key competencies and best practices.

Jobvite describes the academy as “an online learning center where recruiters go to acquire new skills, strengthen existing capabilities and learn how to get better recruiting results regardless of their tech platform.”

An initial program in Recruitment Marketing is available now. Sequences in Applicant Management and Effective TA Operations will be added soon. Self-directed, each track includes seven learning modules and qualifies for SHRM and HRCI credits. Registration costs $350 per certification, Jobvite said.

Feeling Recruiters’ Pain

“Lacking adequate training is a recruiter pain point we hear about often,” said Vice President of Customer Enablement Amy Hughes. TA teams, she noted, face “conflicting pressures in an increasingly complex marketplace.

The academy’s approach is based on Jobvite’s EVOLVE Talent Acquisition Framework, which helps assess the current level of an organization’s talent acquisition maturity by looking at people, processes and technology across recruitment, marketing, applicant tracking and operations. In August, Jobvite expanded the framework to provide employers with a more “holistic” assessment of their TA operations.

In February, Jobvite introduced a tool to review job descriptions and highlight areas that can be modified to make them more inclusive. The complimentary Job Description Grader uses AI, analytics and benchmarks to identify a job description’s requirements, experiences and language that may impact an applicant pool during screening and evaluation.
