Hireology Expands Suite, Acquires Referral Platform EmployUs

Hireology acquired the employee referral technology provider EmployUs, expanding its suite of solutions designed to help employers attract talent through a variety of channels. The company said EmployUS will allow its customers to speed the talent acquisition process by converting fragmented processes into a single employee referral program and broader recruitment strategy.

“I’m excited for our customers to see firsthand how running a successful employee referral program can help build a more robust talent pipeline and accelerate hiring,” said Hireology CEO Adam Robinson.

EmployUs is an employee referral solution that allows organizations to leverage their employees and networks to help their hiring efforts. Based in Cary, N.C., the company’s tools reward employees for recommending people to jobs.

With the acquisition, Hireology customers will have the ability to more easily design a referral program, invite employees to participate, get referrals, and manage rewards from within the Hireology platform. Referrals will seamlessly flow into Hireology, where hiring managers can automate communication and next steps for open roles or develop referrals for future opportunities.

According to its LinkedIn profile, EmployUs had raised more than $1.5 million in venture capital since its founding in 2015. The company has some 100 customers in more than 15 countries.

In a blog post, Hireology said the number one source for hires among both its top customers and its own staff has been employee referral programs. The company called EmployUs “a seasoned leader in helping organizations motivate employees to recommend their peers, reward employees for referring qualified candidates and ultimately build a pipeline of top talent.”

Hireology customers will be able to add EmployUs to their base subscriptions later this summer.
